Schenectady, NY – 6 October 2026 – Anthony Constantino decisively won tonight's CBS6 debate, taking the stage alone and making his case directly to North Country voters, while Blake "Chicken" Gendebien hid from voters in Plattsburgh at an event funded by Kathy Hochul's campaign.
Tom Eschen, the CBS6 moderator, opened the broadcast saying “Both [Constantino and Gendebien] were given six dates for a debate; Constantino agreed to all of them, Gendebien, none.” Tonight, with cameras rolling and a moderator waiting, he left an empty podium in Schenectady and chose a Hochul-funded event instead, making plain whose agenda he's running on and who he answers to.
“Blake Gendebien wants to represent the North Country, but he won't stand on a stage and debate his far left ideas,” said Anthony Constantino. “He ran to an event bankrolled by Kathy Hochul, rejecting 6 different debate dates.”
Constantino outlined plans to create jobs, lower energy costs, support Fort Drum, and proposed Operation Overhaul, an initiative to upgrade all government software systems.
