Gendebien officially refuses to debate Constantino
Edinburg, NY – 30 September 2026 – Democrat Blake Gendebien has officially refused to debate Anthony Constantino, claiming he is too busy. At the same time, Gendebien is offering hour-long, one-on-one sit-down interviews to every station that has offered to host a debate, proving his reason for not debating is a lie.
“Gendebien wants to spend far left donor money to lie about me in ads but can't debate,” said Constantino.
Constantino has agreed to debates with both CBS6 and Spectrum. The campaign has also been highly flexible with dates and times, essentially telling both stations whatever works for them works for us.
Gendebien's refusal to debate follows news that he hired a Communist, a registered foreign agent, and was caught on a hot mic making numerous controversial remarks. His campaign explained the refusal saying, “Blake has a farm to run” which Constantino immediately said is disqualifying.
“If Blake's excuse for not debating is that he has a farm to run, then he’s admitting he can't represent us in Congress,” said Constantino. “A debate only takes an hour and, by now, Blake should have made arrangements to be free. I also have a large business and have already handed management off to my team so that I can fight for the people.”
