Edinburg, NY – 21 September 2026 – The Department of Homeland Security confirmed reports that Blake Gendebien hired a foreign national to manage his campaign funds, violating federal law. The Department of Homeland Security told the Daily Caller on the record that Gabriella Grabovska, the Gendebien campaign’s “finance assistant,” is Ukrainian and a non-citizen, and the FEC confirmed on the record that a foreign national acting in that position violates federal law.
Blake Gendebien paid Ukrainian national Gabriella Grabovska more than $8,000 to manage official campaign accounts from April to June 2026, according to FEC filings. After departing Gendebien’s campaign in July, Grabovska went to work at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Federal law bars foreign nationals from directly or indirectly participating in election-related activities, including contributions, expenditures, disbursements, and the administration of a political committee. The FEC told The Daily Caller on the record that the Gendebien campaign may have violated federal law by hiring Grabovska for that position.
“This is just the latest example of Blake Gendebien’s lawless Anti-American behavior in the face of employment regulations,” said Anthony Constantino. “Gendebien insults American workers, brags about hiring illegal immigrants, he bails them out of prison, and now he illegally has foreigners on his campaign staff. Blake Gendebien is the most Anti-American candidate to ever run in NY-21.”
