USA Today Network reports Blake Gendebien under criminal investigation by New York State Police

Edinburg, NY – 7 October 2026 – Blake Gendebien remains under investigation by the New York State Police, according to new reporting from the USA TODAY Network. The USA TODAY Network is now the second to report the investigation, after the New York Post first broke the news on October 6 that Gendebien is under investigation by State Police.

The investigation follows allegations, backed by drone footage and a sworn affidavit from a former Gendebien employee, that Gendebien directed workers to dump potentially hazardous garbage and dead cattle in a wooded area behind his St. Lawrence County farm, near local waterways.

In reporting by the USA TODAY Network, “State police said the matter remains under investigation.”

Gendebien's response was to attack the messenger. He called Anthony Constantino a “weirdo,” and declared himself “already cleared” because the DEC declined to act. That claim collapses against the State Police investigation, first reported by the New York Post and now confirmed by USA TODAY.

“Blake Gendebien clearly dumped massive amounts of garbage onto the land and into the water,” said Anthony Constantino. “State police are investigating and the media must get Paul Tonko and Kathy Hochul on record saying whether or not they still support this litterbug.”
